約1時間の飛行でミルフォードサウンドまでの美しい景色を体験することができ、テカポ湖から車で7時間、フランツ・ジョセフから車で9時間半のドライブを節約できます。フィヨルド自体は、上に淡水層を持つ海から15キロの入り江です。どちら側にもそびえ立つ急な山側は1,200ｍ(3,900ft)以上もあります。滝は天から降り注ぎ、緑豊かな温帯雨林がこれらの崖にうっそうと茂っています。アザラシ、ペンギン、イルカ、クジラなどを見かける事もあります。

Our flights to Milford usually stop over for about 30 to 60 minutes, plenty of time to explore the wonder and beauty of the area, and a rest stop at the local café. For those with a more limited timeframe, we can overfly Milford Sound without landing and explore the area from above.
One of the more popular activities to take in Milford Sound are the boat tours. We can arrange a boat tour for you which usually take about 1 hour and 30 minutes on the water, exploring the entire sound right out to the coast, including the waterfalls falling from the sky.
