Air Safaris main base and airport facility (since 1975) is located alongside the main highway 4km west of the Lake Tekapo township. Our airport has plenty of free parking, toilets, WiFi, coffee and has a great area for non fliers to sit and enjoy the view. A sales and information office is situated centrally within the small township.

Lake Tekapo is located in the heart of the beautiful Mackenzie Country surrounded by golden tussock lands and snow capped mountains. The pristine glacial waters and unique turquoise blue colour of Lake Tekapo are stunning. The Lake Tekapo area offers a wonderful contrast of scenery and activities both in summer and winter.
The Grand Traverse scenic flight operates year round (except Christmas day) from Lake Tekapo with departures every hour (weather permitting).

Glentanner Park is a popular tourist attraction in the Mount Cook area and is a wonderful place to visit or stay overnight – it is nestled alongside Lake Pukaki with fantastic views of Mount Cook and the Tasman Valley.
