At Air Safaris, our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers, staff, suppliers and community. We are closely monitoring the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation and continue to be guided by the New Zealand Ministry of Health.
We ask that you maintain good hygiene by making use of hand sanitiser placed around our facilities. Face coverings are encouraged on our flights but are not mandatory.
If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please stay at home and seek advice from Healthline (0800 358 5433). Please contact us via phone or email for rescheduling or cancelling your booking.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
We ask that you advise us in the timeliest manner possible for any cancellations. Generally, any cancellations greater than 48 hours prior to flight time will incur no charge and for cancellations within 24-48 hours we will take in to account circumstances with a maximum 50% charge. For cancellations less than 24 hours prior to flight time and no-shows there will be a 100% charge. If a flight is cancelled by Air Safaris due to weather or operational requirements, there is no charge.
We ask guests to respect this policy but have put some exceptions in place in response to COVID-19. If you cannot travel because you are directly impacted by Covid-19 you will be offered the option to reschedule your flight or cancel your booking for free.
Our response to COVID-19
- We have intensified disinfecting around our facilities and aircraft and are Qualmark COVID Clean Approved.
- Hand sanitizer is provided and PPE gear (gloves, masks) available at all times for those who need it and in the event of Alert Levels shifting upwards or on notice of a suspected COVID-19 case.
- Signage is displayed around our facilities showing people how to keep safe from COVID-19.
- Changing how we greet each other if meeting in person (i.e. no handshakes, hugs or hongi).
- Providing our staff with up-to-the-moment guidance and information released by Ministry of Health so they can keep themselves and their families safe.
- Asking any staff or customers who are feeling unwell to please stay at home and seek medical advice via Healthline or their GP.
- A COVID-19 safety plan is in place as a central point of information for our staff to refer to should the COVID-19 environment change.
