The flight covers an area world-famous with photographers for the turquoise blue lakes, river braids and majestic lighting over ancient glacial moraines.
This flight is a shorter version of our “Grand Traverse” with particular emphasis on the natural history and beauty of the upper reaches of the Mackenzie basin and alpine high-country valleys.

Join us for a medium length flight giving you a taste of the beautiful West Coast.
The flight departs from the Franz Josef Airport and climbs out over the dense west coast rain forest towards Fox Glacier, before weaving your way up the Fox Glacier with views of Aoraki Mount Cook and Mt Tasman, our highest mountains you will then traverse over to the Franz Josef glacier before commencing your descent back down the glacier to the airstrip.
